No dia 23 de agosto de 2021, a Secretaria de Sa\u00fade de Paragominas emitiu comunicado reduzindo em 50% a quantidade de leitos anteriormente disponibilizada para tratamento exclusivo de pacientes com Covid-19, no Hospital Municipal Dr. Ant\u00f4nio Jos\u00e9 da Costa. Desde ent\u00e3o, o munic\u00edpio passou a contar com 10 leitos cl\u00ednicos hospitalares para o cuidado com esses pacientes.\u00a020 leitos haviam sido destinados para essa finalidade, em maio de 2020.<\/p>\n

Depois da redu\u00e7\u00e3o, a taxa de ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o chegou a zerar, e passou a oscilar entre 10, 20, e 30%. Entretanto, nos \u00faltimos dias, as interna\u00e7\u00f5es aumentaram significativamente, deixando essa taxa entre 60, 70, e at\u00e9 90%, como foi o caso do Boletim divulgado no dia 20.<\/p>\n
A elevada taxa de interna\u00e7\u00f5es fez com que os leitos para atendimento desses pacientes voltasse a ser o mesmo n\u00famero destinado inicialmente: 20 leitos.<\/p>\n
Com a nova quantidade de vagas, no relat\u00f3rio di\u00e1rio, apresentado na ter\u00e7a-feira (21), a taxa de ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o ficou em 50% com 10 pessoas internadas na ala destinada aos pacientes acometidos pela Covid-19.<\/p>\n
Informa\u00e7\u00f5es extraoficiais dizem que, ap\u00f3s a divulga\u00e7\u00e3o do Boletim, o n\u00famero de internados j\u00e1 subiu para 13, elevando a taxa para 65%.<\/p>\n
Do dia 1\u00ba at\u00e9 o dia 21 do m\u00eas de dezembro, Paragominas registrou 187 novos casos de Covid-19, e 04 mortes em consequ\u00eancia da doen\u00e7a.\u00a0Conforme Boletim Epidemiol\u00f3gico, de 21 de dezembro, 851 pessoas est\u00e3o em recupera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
